Building stronger river communities through local action, partnership, and opportunity.

The River Communities Coalition is a nonprofit organization that brings residents, businesses, and community partners together to support practical projects that strengthen Needles and the surrounding river communities. RCC focuses on collaboration, local leadership, and initiatives that improve opportunity, economic resilience, and quality of life in our region.
Featured Project: Community-Owned Grocery Cooperative
The concept for the cooperative was first brought forward through discussions with regional partners including the Teamsters, who recognized the importance of improving food access in the Needles area. The River Communities Coalition was asked to serve as the local organizing partner to help bring the project to life through community engagement, planning, and development work on the ground.
Phase 1 of the project is focused on fundraising, incorporation support, and market feasibility work needed to build a strong foundation for the cooperative.
